Truth is... It's better late than never. Right? Come on! Work with me people!
Truth is... I was down stairs doing laundry and heard the all too familiar click click of the furnace. Seems someone forgot to check the propane levels. And by someone, I mean me. Seems when someone always takes care of it, there is no one to check up on that same someone to ensure it as done. *sigh* It's gonna be a long night of camping out in the living room.
Truth is... there were many apologies awaiting me at work today along with two cards. I really, really just want to leave it behind me, ya know?
Truth is... when a certain boy
Truth is... Tony's picking up milk tonight on his way home from his buddy's house. He just doesn't know it yet.
Truth is... I have the day off tomorrow. It's packed full of stuff that needs to get done including
Truth is... Bonus Brother is with us all week, so he can attend a driver's ed class during vacation. It's been nice having him around.
Truth is... It's a lot harder adding another kid into the mix as well as picking up/dropping off than I originally thought. Thank God I abandoned my original plan to have four children.
Truth is... Bonus Brother agreed to cut his hair while he was here. This is him before with it tied back, looking all snazzy for the wedding...
And this is him now... holding his hair....
He donated it to Locks Of Love, not to be confused with Locks For Love which is an entirely different web site all together...thankyouverymuch. Anyway, here's hoping the new wig will make some child with Cancer's day.
Truth is... I am meeting up with my girlfriend for breakfast on Monday morning. I'm in some serious need for some girl gossip/nonsense time.
Truth is... Tony's watching the kids for me.
Truth is.... he doesn't know it yet.
Truth is... I have a number of posts brewing in the noggin.
Truth is... it's your turn!

Bonus Brother is pretty handsome! I love how he donated his hair. That's awesome. I also like how Tony is watching the kids but just doesn't know it yet! You are so funny!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that sounds like a looooong day. There's nothing worse than the furnace dying when you need it most. Sometimes I wonder which is worse, furnace, or AC in the summertime. Moms have too much to think about. I'm surprised we remember to feed or bathe ourselves at least once a year....sounds like you're doing a pretty good job, though!
ReplyDeleteBarb - Yeah. He's pretty awesome. It's 9am, so most likely everyone will still be in their jammies. :)
ReplyDeletePaige - Thankfully its not broken. It's an auto start pilot light so when the propane's out it continues to click and not ignite. I'll get a delivery in the morning and since I'm a good customer see if they can waive the $50 "emergency" fee. Fingers crossed! :)
Truth is.... I remember my parents having to order - propane to cook on.
ReplyDeleteTruth is... you have it pretty damn good still, and I'm feeling envious tonight. Even with the propane issues.
ReplyDeleteGlad the work crew came to their senses. (Better late than never, so they say. 'Tho I could argue with that.)
Lucy - Thankfully, we don't have a gas stove. Just heat and hot water. Everything else is electric.
ReplyDeleteADoC - I never forget to count my blessings. Honest. I do have it really REALLY good. I am blessed, regardless of how many challanges are hurled my way.
Bonus Brother is a young hottie. And it's really nice that he donated all that beautiful hair.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lola
Truth is: Bonus brother is quite a HUNK.
ReplyDeleteTruth is: I'm a dirty old lady. ;0)
Bonus Brother is gooood looking with that new do! The hair MUST stay short! He's a hottie!
ReplyDelete(...and can I say,I was shocked (and jealous) to read that your ex is...ahem...gone...Now whose morbid! Not sure what to say in this instance? My condolences? Congrats?...gosh, I hope none of your family members read these comments...)
:::debating whether or not to search locks for love:::
ReplyDeleteLyssa donated her hair to Locks of Love, too. We had a little girl in our troop who had alopecia areata. So it was personal. And every time I hear of someone caring enough to donate their hair, I think of that little girl who was given a wig by Locks of Love. It changed the way she viewed the world.
Truth is. . .yay! You made it. Boo for no propane. Some things do fall to one person - sometimes it s the only way - but it sure does suck when we forget. Then again, some things fall to other people and it isn't our fault when they forget. heehee - it all works out fair.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had cards waiting at work. That should go a ways towards making you feel better, I hope, and able to move forward. I am sure your manager won't make that mistake again.
Enjoy your day off! That's a nice bonus. :)
We ran out of propane once last winter on a weekend. It was our first winter here and I had always had electric heat. I kept telling Charlie that I smelled it. It was the furnace trying to light under the house. It was a really, really cold Saturday and I had to have a come to Jesus meeting with the man on call to get him to come out!
ReplyDeleteWe use natural gas - I wouldn't remember about refilling propane for the house when I can't remember to do it for the gas grill! (Always run out.) I remember three kids at home, none of whom could drive. Somehow it all works out.
ReplyDeleteI keep returning here to stare at Bonus Brother. Yes, my life is that pathetic.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lola
Woo! Bonus Brother is quite the cute guy. If he were around when I was a teenager I totally would have stalked him.....and yes I'm totally trying to figure out how to keep my girls from being like me when I was kid/pre-teen/teen in regard to boys. Drat that.
ReplyDeleteI've missed Truth is Thursdays!!
Truth is you sound a lot better today and I think Tony secretly likes it when he gets assignments.
